Andrew Hasbrook Owner/Guide

Andrew, born and raised in Monmouth, Oregon, grew up in the heart of steelhead country. At age 18, His love of big fish and remote areas led him to South Central Alaska. He spent eight summers exploring Lake Creek working as a senior guide at Wilderness Place Lodge. He conducted jet boat trips, led remote wilderness float trips for trout and salmon, and most importantly… put people on big fish. When not in AK, Andrew is guiding trips on the Lower Deschutes or perfecting his craft on the Wallowa and Grande Ronde rivers. In the “off-season” he spends his time tying flies, chasing his wirehair, Libby, through chukar country, and skiing or snowboarding in the Elkhorn mountains. One would be hard-pressed to find a more passionate or hard-working fishing guide and angler. His absolute love of fly fishing and creating an enjoyable fishing experience for all are evident in his consistent energetic and enthusiastic demeanor.

Austin Boswell Owner/Guide

Austin, originally from Central Oregon, found a love for fly fishing at an early age. Bend was the perfect place to find easy access to a plethora of famous trout fishing. By age 18, he was working in a fly shop, and guiding on the Lower Deschutes. While he’ll say he moved to NE Oregon for college, the truth is he moved to the wilder part of Oregon to elude the crowds and find endless outdoors pursuits. With 5 months of steelhead fishing, and remote trout streams with trophy sized fish, there were many professors asking where he was. He often finds his way home each spring to make an appearance during the Deschutes River Salmon Fly hatch that he has grown to know and love. When not on the water, Austin is generally tying flies, backpacking, or out bird hunting for chukars. The whitewater, the people, the reward of catching big fish in wild and beautiful places all keep him coming back each spring as the rivers begin to run. There is nobody more passionate about the Grande Ronde/Wallowa fishery than Austin. His passion for his company, a quality trip, and creating a unique experience for guests are evident based on his never-ending desire to work harder or do better.

Deric Carson / Lead Guide

Deric is an Eastern Oregon native through and through. Deric has always had a passion for fishing and the river. He has lived all over Oregon but has made La Grande and the Grande Ronde his home river. He is the dependable know-how guy who just gets it done. Between his busy work schedule as a biologist for the Union Soil and Water Conservation District and tirelessly working as our day trip guide in the spring and fall, he also often makes an appearance on our multi-day floats down the Grande Ronde. His knowledge of just about anything you could ask him, his passion for the natural world, and his charming demeanor all compliment his passion for teaching people how to fly fish.

Hogan Hernandez Gear Boater/Camp Host

Hogan, born and raised in Sisters, found her passion for the outdoors in the mountains and on the rivers of Central Oregon. She graduated from the University of Oregon with a degree in Journalism/Public Relations and Mandarin Chinese, but still finds herself making a home on the river each spring. She has spent the past five years rowing almost every river in the state of Oregon, from the Rogue, to the Deschutes, the North Umpqua, the Owyhee, and now the Grande Ronde. Off the river she enjoys cooking, hanging with her dog, fishing, skiing, painting, hiking, rock climbing, and of course challenging her boating skills on new rivers. Her experience and expertise on the oars has made Hogan an essential part of our team, and a valued asset to our operation.
